Henry Morgenthau, former United States Ambassador to Turkey, was the guest of honor at a testimonial tea, yesterday afternoon in the home of Eli H. Bernheim at the Park Lane, in appreciation of his services as Chairman of the Special Prospects Committee in the recent $4,720,000 campaign of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies. In behalf of Mr. Morgenthau’s associates on the committee, Sol M. Strook, President of the Federation, presented him with a testimonial vellum book bound in leather.

The committee raised $277,000 in the campaign, including a $50,000 contribution from John D. Rockefeller, jr., the largest donation of a non-Jew to a local Jewish organization.
