Yemen Jews Dissatisfied with Z. O. Executive’s Attitude, Basle Congress Told

The Fifth session of the Zionist Congress was opened Friday morning under the chairmanship of Dr. Leon Motzkin. In the general debate which continued, Delegate Gluska representing the Yemenite Jews in Palestine charged the Zionist Executive with failure to fulfill the decision of the Fourteenth Zionist Congress concerning the creation of Yemenite settlements. He demanded that a special immigration commission be sent to Yemen to facilitate the migration of Yemenite Jews to Palestine. He also demanded that the Jewish National Fund grant land to the Yemenite Jews.

The session of the Congress was interrupted in order that the delegates might attend the funeral of Jacob Wassermann, delegate from Kishineff, who died following an operation here. M. M. Ussishkin delivered a eulogy to the late Zionist leader of Bessarabia.
