Wiener Morgenzeitung Suspends Publication

The Wiener Morgenzeitung, the only Jewish daily issued in the German language, has stopped publication due to lack of funds. A new weekly in the German language with a distinct Zionist policy will be published here, it was stated. new temple, Dr. Jacob Kohm the rabbi emphasized the role the synagogue plays in Jewish life.

The invocation was delivered by Dr. Maurice H. Harris, rabbi of Temple Israel. Alexander U. Zinke, Acting President of the Board of Trustees was Chairman of the exercises. Telegrams were received from Governor Smith, Acting Mayor Mckee and United States Senator Wagner.

The new temple was designed by Edward I. Shire, architect, and is an adaptation of the Romanesque and Byzantine styles, done in deep buff-colored brick and stone. It seats 1,600 persons The centre on 100th Street will contain classrooms, a gymasium and social hall seating 500.
