A check for $5,000 was presented to Judge William M. Lewis, National Chairman of the United Palestine Appeal, as a result of his address at the opening of the Bridgeport, Conn. United Palestine Appeal drive at the Masonic Temple. Samuel Mellitz, Chairman of the campaign; acted as toastmaster. Addresses were delivered by Dr. Louis I. Goldberg, Regional Director, Mrs. Charles Ress and Judge Lewis.

Messrs. Schnee and Schnee pledged 15 per cent of all money raised in the present drive, with a minimum of $1,000.

The Bridgeport campaign committee consists of Samuel Mellitz, Chairman; Lawrence Finkelstone, Treasurer; Dr. Samuel Wurzel, Secretary; Charles Ress, Israel J. Cohen, Isaac Schine, Arthur Weiss, Samuel Carp, Mrs. B. R. Bressler. Abraham Schnee and Rev. H. Kottler.
