Schechita Not an Issue, European Capitals Tell Warsaw City Commission

The schechita, the method of slaughtering animals ?escribed by the Jewish religion, is no problem to the population or the civic administration in the majority of European capitals, the Warsaw city government commission was told in reply to its inquiry broadcast as a result of anti-schechita agitation here.

The city government commission received to date fifteen replies to the twenty inquiries directed to cities and towns in Poland and twenty-seven replies from reading cities in other countries. Antwerp, Belgrade, Reval and other leading cities declared in their communications that the practice of schechita has brought about ? complications.
