Twelve Arabs were arrested at Irbid and five in other towns for advocating a boycott of the parliamentary elections.

Anti-election demonstrations resulted in slight skirmishes when the police attempted to disperse the crowds. The reason for the agitation was opposition to the recent treaty with Great Britian.
