The Government is negotiating with the landowners at the harbor area regarding the hiring of a site for establishing barracks for the workers who will be employed in the Haifa harbor construction works. The contract of lease began on November 1.

It is stated that contrary to previous estimates, the harbor construction will incur an additional expenditure of L. P. 250,000. Special messengers are touring the villages of the Jerusalem area and enrolling fellaheen for the construction work.
