Another Jewish Cemetery Desecrated in Germany

The recently established Jewish cemetery Gladbeck was desecrated last night.

Unknown vandals invaded the cemetery and destroyed the first five tombstones erected in the new cemetery. The Jewish community announced a reward for the apprehension of the vandals.

Max Shulman was re-elected president of the Zionist Organization of Chicago at its annual meeting. Mr. Shulman holds this office for the fourth consecutive term. The other officers elected are Judge Harry M. Fisher, Pearl Franklin and Max Goldberg, vice-presidents; B. Horwich, treasurer, and Maurice C. Handelman, secretary. Leon Zolorkoff was elected honorary vice-president for life.

In his report, A. Z. Halperin, treasurer of the United Palestine Appeal, stated that total pledges in the 1925 campaign were $95,294. The total collected on the pledges was $73,149, and the total collected on previous pledges of years before was $2,506.
