London Jews Hold Benefit for Bessarabian Suffereb

A benefit performance was given at the Yiddish Theat in London’s East End to raise funds aid the famine stricken Jews in Besarabia. Nicholas Titlescu, Roumani Minister to England, attended.

The course on real estate inaugurated I fall at City College, New York, by the School of Business and Civic Administration, in (##)junction with the New York Real Estate Boa(##) is to be repeated during the spring semeste

Among the lecturers were Robert E. Sime Aaron Rabinowitz, one of the governors of New York Real Estate Board, Edward Crawford, vice-president of Charles F. Noy & Co., and Maurice R. Spear, president Spear & Co., Inc. William M. Girden Spear & Co. directs the course.

With the organization of a drive for $225,000 which will be raised through the sale of sea in the new synagogue connecting with the (##) Jewish Community Center, the plan of the Jewish community of Port Chester, N. Y., being realized.

The Community Center was the first of the units planned by the Congregation Knes Tifereth Israel, the other being the synagogue. The synagogue when completed will have seating capacity of 900 in the main auditorium and 200 in the balcony.

It is expected that the $225,000 required build and furnish the synagogue and to completed the Jewish Center will be raised who from the sale of pews, it was declared.
