The proposal formulated by a group of American Orthodox rabbis that steps be taken with a view to purchasing the square in front of the Western Wall of the Temple in Jerusalem now under Moslem ownership was approved in principle by the Executive Committee of the Union of Polish Rabbis in session here.

The resolution adopted states, however, that before any action is taken, the opinion of Palestine rabbis is to be ascertained.
