Chief Rabbi Zirelson of Bessarabia, in a letter addressed to Leib Jaffe, of the Keren Hayesod, declared he could not sign a rabbinical appeal to the Jewish people to support the Palestine upbuilding work, so long as the “Agudah has not decided to join the Agency on a basis satisfactory to both.” He expresses the hope that a common understanding will be found.”
