A repetition of the disturbances during the Friday evening services at the Wailing Wall was prevented when the Acting District Commissioner of Jerusalem and the Police Commandant arrived on the scene and silenced a group of Arabs who, following their practice of the last few weeks, gathered around the spot where Jews come to worship, beating drums, singing and shouting.

The two officers also visited Chief Rabbi A. J. Kook, who described to them the practice of the Arab annoyers. It is also understood that the Zionist Executive has made strong representations against the organized Moslem disturbances.
