French Jewry was greatly aroused over the Palestine events.

The Grand Rabbin and the Alliance Israelite Univeselle despatched cables of protest to the Palestine government. The cables charged the government with demonstrating a sad lack of preventative measures. The French press took a very sympathetic attitude toward the Jews of Palestine devoting much space to a description of the events, quoting the Jewish Telegraphic Agency despatches frequently.

For Wednesday evening special meetings were called at the Paris synagogues where eulogies for the Palestine martyrs will be held. A delegation of Palestine students at French universities was received today at the British Embassy here, the secretary of the Embassy expressing his sympathy.

A mass meeting was called by the League of Zionist Revisionists here for Thursday. The Revisionist leaders, Vladimir Jabotinsky, Richard Lichtheim and Meer Grossman, are scheduled as speakers. Manifestations are expected tonight following the synagogue memorial gatherings. A demonstration of protest is scheduled for Thursday under the auspices of the Jewish world war veterans.
