A huge Jewish mass meeting of protest, with the participation of all Jewish organizations and student bodies, was called here for Sunday, and in other centers in Jugoslavia. The government granted its permission for the holding of these manifestations.
The Palestine events have created astonishment in Jewish circles here since Jews and Moslems in Jugoslavia live on cordial terms, never experiencing any religious or other conflicts. The Jugoslavian press reports the events objectively and emphasizes that Serbai was the first country to express its consent for the Balfour Declaration.
