The French Embassy yesterday issued the following statement, regarding the present disturbances in Palestine:
“Certain information published by the newspapers are contradicted by telegrams from the French High Commissioner in Syria. Since the beginning of the Palestinian events, the French authorities took all arrangements in order to prevent the participation of Syrian elements in the disturbances of Palestine, such as the reinforcement of the military stations of the southern border and active control of the tribes dwelling near this border. Djebel remains undisturbed and none of the Druzes was allowed to join the Transjordan Arabs.
