The Yiddish Art Theatre opened its twelfth season Friday night in a new theatre, formerly Proctor’s Fith Avenue Theatre, with the play “Jud Suss,” translated by Maurice Schwartz from Leon Feuchtwanger’s novel “Power.”
Samuel Goldenburg played the part of Joseph Suss; Maurice Schwartz, Duke Karl Alexander, and Judith Abarbevell, the daughter of Suss.
