The statistical government council of Czecho-Slovakia has decided to recognize the Jewish nationality in connection with the coming national census. It was also decided, however, that nationality is to be identical with the language spoken. This means that only those who speak Yiddish or Hebrew will be classified as of the Jewish nationality while those Jews who speak German, Czechish, Slovakian or Hungarian are not entitled to register as of the Jewish nationality.
