Rabbi Rosentretter of St. Louis is Dead at 71

Rabbi Adolph Rosentretter, 71 died here today of heart disease. Until his recent resignation on account of health he was the spiritual leader of the Brith Sholom congregation. Rabbi Rosentretter was the founder and first president of the orthodox Old Folks Home and one of the founders of the Jewish Hospital.

He was born in Gollants, Germany, and came to St. Louis in 1884. Until 1911 he was rabbi of the B’Nai Amoon congregation.
