Third Jewish Region in Ukrainia Named Stalindorf

The newly proclaimed third autonomous Jewish region centering around Islutchista in Ukrainia was today officially named the Stalindorf Region. The Jewish administration for the region was elected at a regional Soviet conference addressed by A. Merezhin, leader of the Comzet, government department for settling the Jews on the land. He pointed out that 63 percent of the region’s population are Jews, 35 percent Ukrainians and the rest Russians and Germans.
