Milton Diamond Named “czar” of Music Producers’ Association

Milton Diamond, who for a number of years has been legal representative for foreign cinema companies here, has been appointed “Czar” of the Producing Music Managers Association, Inc., which carries with it the almost absolute power for concert and radio performances that Will Hays enjoys in the motion picture world.

The organization, formed by several leading managers who control about two-thirds of all concerts bookings in the country, and include such artists as Jascha Heifetz, Mischa Elman, Efram Zimbalist, Yehudi Menuhin, and Harold Bauer, was formed with the purpose of presenting “a united but friendly front to the radio and the sound film.”

Mr. Diamond, who is a graduate of New York Law School, has for many years been the legal representative for the Wolfsohn Musical Bureau, Metropolitan Musical Bureau, Arthur Judson, Inc., and Concert Management. Last year he was instrumental in bringing about an agreement in Paris between the American and German sound film companies whereby the patent interests were pooled and the world rights properly distributed.
