The issuance of a statement by the British government announcing that the terms of the Balfour Declaration would be fully carried out in good faith and the recasting of the recently announced British policy in Palestine in accordance with the Balfour Declaration was urged upon the British government today by General Jan Christian Smuts, in a cable to Premier MacDonald.
