As the Austrian electorate prepared to go to the polls tomorrow to elect a new parliament the calm of the campaign was broken today when eight Zionist students distributing campaign literature were attacked and injured by a group of anti-Semitic students on the campus of the University of Vienna. The Jewish students were handing out leaflets urging the voters to support Dr. Robert Stricker, a candidate for parliament on an independent Zionist ticket.

The Jewish students were not the only subjects of attack by the nationalist students. The latter also attacked a number of Catholics who were electioneering for their candidates.
