Two thousand Jewish youths participated in a torch light procession last night through the central streets of the city in celebration of the closing of the three day Palestine Labor Olympiad.
The police, who feared that clashes with Arabs might result, refused to permit the procession to start from the Hapoel Sport field, which is near Jaffa, but interposed no objections to having it start from the Tel Aviv gate.
As special precaution, however, police reserves came by truck from Tel Aviv. Everything passed peaceably.
The evening previous Tel Aviv witnessed the largest meeting in its history of its kind, when 12,000 persons assembled at a mass meeting to celebrate the Olympiad. Addresses were delivered by Ben Gurion, Berl Locker, Josef Sprinzak, Baruch Zuckerman and other labor leaders.
