American Consul Asks Probe into Attack on Bimko

The American Consul in Warsaw has requested the Polish authorities to investigate the attack on December 21st, on F. Bimko, Jewish and Hebrew writer in American periodicals, while on a visit to his birthplace, in Kielce.

The action of the American consulate followed the lodging of a complaint by Mr. Bimka who sustained serious injuries.

Max R. Kapplin of St. Paul, Minn., father of A. B. Kapplin, former Minnesota department commander of the American Legion, died in St. Paul after a month’s illness. He was 62.
