Training of volunteers in study groups to give efficient social service in these days of depression was urged by Mrs. Arthur Brin, of Minneapolis, president of the National Council of Jewish Women.

Mrs. Brin, who spoke at a meeting of the Baltimore council, came here from Washington, where she has been attending the preliminary meetings of the Conference on the Cause and Cure of War.

Mrs. Harry O. Schloss, Mrs. Sydney M. Cone, Mrs. Henry Oppenheimer and Mrs. Sol Rothschild will represent the local council at the conference.
