Permits of Entry Are 96 Percent Under Quota

Only 602 visas were issued to aliens of preference and non-preference status from 21 countries during November, the possible maximum issue being 14,838, the Department of State announced yesterday. The underissue was placed at 96 per cent.

These 21 countries’ annual quotas represent 148,383 of the total quota of 153,831, it was stated.
