The Palestine government has granted to the Iraq Petroleum Company 2,250 dunams of land, free of cost, in Haifa, along the bay, in order to enable the company to reach Haifa Harbor, for the purpose of shipping oil abroad.

It is understood that the company intends to utilize this land to build a special road for establishing its base there.

The project will involve an expenditure of £60,000 and will provide work for more than 1,000, a percentage of whom will be Jews, it is expected.
