Several hundred American Jewish tourists, who arrived here this week find themselves severely handicapped by a shortage of cash. The Palestine banks definitely refuse to cash American checks. Moreover, it is feared that the financial situation in America may seriously affect Palestine development, since the tendency to prevent the export of American money may hit not only the newly planned investments, but also those already instituted by American investors the rest of whose money is still in America.
