Jewish shops in Wiesbaden were compelled to close, owing to picketing by boycotters. In some cases, the proprietors were maltreated. In addition, Jewish pedestrians have been attacked in the streets by Nazi groups.

The Nazi authorities in Wiesbaden took action when the disturbances threatened to spread. They arrested several of the rioters and it is understood that proceedings are to be taken against them.

Similar incidents occurred in Halle, where a large unruly crowd threw stench bombs at the Woolworth Stores and attacked Jewish shops compelling them to close down. The Halle police report that the situation there is now under control.
