Jewish business firms are moving their headquarters from the Free City of Danzig, at the mouth of the Polish Corridor, to the new Polish harbor city of Gdynia because they fear German Nazis will capture Danzig and will create discrimination against the Jews in Danzig similar to those in effect in Germany.
While Polish sources state that the Jewish exodus from Danzig to Gdynia has assumed a mass character, it is pointed out, on the other hand, that Jewish treatment in Gdynia has not been of the best and that in many districts, particularly at the port, Jews are entirely prohibited from purchasing buildings or real estate.
