Signs bearing swastikas and carrying the words “Heil Hitler” recently appeared on several beaches within the boundaries of Toronto for the first time. An investigation by the authorities yesterday revealed that an organization known as the Swastika Club exists here, with a membership exceeding 400 persons.

The aims of the organization have not yet been discovered, as the leaders will not come out into the open. It is known, however, that members occasionally wear uniforms consisting of a brown shirt and a metal swastika emblem.

The League for the Defense of Jewish Rights, Toronto branch, is conducting an investigation of the Swastika Club.
