Austria Raises Four Jews to Higher University Posts

Dr. Miklas, president of the Austrian Republic, has appointed four Jews as university professors, among a total of nine new professorial appointments he has just made. The four new Jewish professors, who were until now only private lecturers at the universities, are Dr. Harry Sicher, dental surgery; Dr. Herbert Koch, children’s diseases; Dr. Heinrich Herschmann, psychiatry, and Dr. Hugo Stern, laryngology.
