Mrs. Sara Levy of Singapore, now in Palestine, has decided to devote her entire capital of about one hundred thousand pounds for the purpose of rebuilding Safed, which suffered so badly during the riots of 1929.
Mrs. Levy plans to erect a new residential quarter, a new synagogue and a large secondary school on Mount Canaan, in the vicinity of the town. A committee to carry out the whole scheme has been formed with Mrs. Levy as the honorary president.
