Warren J. Heldman has been elected president of the Jewish Community Center Association to succeed Mrs. Clarence D. Lauer. He was formerly president of the Jewish Big Brothers Association and executive committeeman of the United Jewish Social Agencies.
“We must give equal or greater heed to the potential future effect of the depression, although we hear much of its present effects,” Mr. Heldman declared. He said “JCCA is Cincinnati’s strongest, most constructive, promising force to fight the depression’s after effects.”
Others chosen were Max Schiff, first vice-president; Nelson Cohen, second vice-president; Mrs. C. D. Lauer, secretary; Harris Ginsberg, treasurer and Mrs. Louise Pritz, executive secretary. The new executive committee of the association includes: Mrs. Lauer, Mr. Schiff, Miss Janet Marks, Mr. Ginsberg, Philip Cohen, Bernard Pepinsky, Maurice Sievers, Ben Schwartz, Henry Segal, Max Rafalo, Jacob Mack, Lester Rothschild and Milton Brown.
