At the hearing held here yesterday, the House Committee on Immigration voted to reduce naturalization fees from twenty to ten dollars. Isadore Hershfield, Washington representative of the Hebrew Immigrant Sheltering Aid Society (HIAS), appeared on behalf of the bill. The committee also considered adding an amendment to the bill restricting attorneys’ fees in naturalization cases, but no action was taken.
