Sammy Reshevsky, child chess prodigy of thirteen years ago, yesterday gave an exhibition of his skill at the R. H. Macy leisure time pursuits hobbies show, playing six games simultaneously and one blindfolded. He is now twenty-two.
In 1920 the youngster attracted much attention when he defeated some of the finest players in the country. The late Julius Rosenwald took an interest in the boy but turned thumbs down on any publicity. As a result Reshevsky has been out of the limelight for the last decade.
