Unity of Stationery and Tobacco Groups Proposed by Leaders

Members of the Metropolitan Stationery & Tobacco Retailers Association and of the Tri-Boro Tobacco, Stationery and Candy Store Association will be asked to vote on unification plans prepared by leaders of both organizations and unanimously endorsed at a meeting of their directors at the St. George Hotel on March 15.

A special meeting of the Metropolitan Stationery & Tobacco Retailers Association will be held tomorrow evening at the New York Ballrooms, 149 Jamaica avenue, Jamaica, where the plan will be discussed and voted upon. There will also be a report by Assemblyman Rice on the proposed 2 per cent sales tax and on the sale of beer in candy stores.

The Tri-Boro Tobacco, Stationery and Candy Store Association will meet for a similar purpose on Tuesday, March 27, at the Moulin Rouge.
