The German American Conference met Friday night at the Turnhalle on Lexington avenue and Eighty-fifth street.
According to Hans Froehlich, head of the organization as well as president of the DAWA, anti-Jewish boycott group, the meeting was held primarily to arrange dates for forthcoming winter festivals. He stated that the approximately 150 persons present, representing as many vereins in the city, had met so that there would be no conflict in dates for celebrations.
Froehlich also said that plans were entered into for another German American Conference meeting, at which only accredited delegates will be present.
At this meeting it is expected that the present officers of the conference, almost all identified with the American Nazi movement, will be asked for an accounting of a number of their Nazi operations carried out in the name of the group.
