Turkish Jews Hope to Settle in Zion

Turkish Jewry, which in recent months has borne the brunt of a bitter anti-Semitic campaign, is now thinking of only one thing—how to get out of the country.

Many would like to return to Spain, from which they came to Turkey after the Spanish expulsion, and to which they are still bound by the fact that they speak Ladino, a Judeo-Spanish language.

But the bulk of the Turkish Jews are desirous of settling in Palestine.
