Barclay’s Bank has decided to create a Palestine Local Board to accomodate its enlarged business in this country, it was announced here. Barclay’s is one of the leading British banking institutions, with branches in the dominions, colonies and foreign lands.
The announcement is regarded as another indication of the prosperous condition of the Holy Land. A. P. S. Clark, who has been manager of the Palestine branches since the British occupation, has been appointed a local director. Two other Britons are also to become local directors.
