Uphold Jews in Dispute on Palestine Land

District Commissioner S. H. Perowne, appointed by the Palestine government to decide a dispute between Arabs and Jews concerning land on Mount Canaan, today held that 13,000 of the 20,000 dunams in dispute was unquestionably Jewish property. Claims on the remaining 7,000 dunams he ordered submitted to a land court for decision.

While this was going on the government rescinded the banishment of M. Stern, manager of the Anglo-Palestine Bank in Safed,
