Aaron Sapiro, who attracted international attention when he sued Henry Ford on the charge of having libeled the Jews and who last Summer was freed of a “racket” charge in a Chicago court was acquitted today by a Federal jury of attempting to “fix” jurors.
He was also cleared on a conspiracy charge. Both accusations grew out of a mail fraud case in which he was retained as attorney. Sam Roth, a co-defendant, was found guilty on one count of attempting to influence a juror.
Sapiro was accused of having brought Roth into the case to locate and pay off jurors who might prove susceptible.
