The United Jewish Appeal campaign closed here with a total of $14,000 raised, it was announced yesterday by Monte M. Lemann and Charles Rosen, co-chairmen of the drive. One thousand two hundred dollars in cash has already been received by Leon Heymann, treasurer, and it is expected that the balance outstanding will be paid in shortly.
General satisfaction was expressed at the outcome of New Orleans’ efforts in behalf of the Jews of Germany. Dr. David Fichman is Secretary of the United Jewish Appeal in this city.
