Popular festivities, including bull fights, garden parties and society balls, spread over five full days, will mark the celebration here of the 800th birthday of Moses Maimonides, the Jewish philosopher and medical expert who was born in Cordoba, Spain, in March, 1135.

An official program for the celebration was announced today by the Spanish government. The program discloses that a special Maimonides museum will be opened at Madrid University.

According to the program, the celebrations will start on March 25 with an official reception arranged by the Cordoba municipality. They will be continued till March 30, with a number of cultural enterprises at Madrid University and with street festivities, Spanish music and serenades, and country fiestas, throughout the entire land.
