ATTACKS PRIEST
The Stuermer, Streicher’s weekly publication, today published a vicious attack on the “incredibly close association” between the Catholic population and their Jewish neighbors at Glehn bei Neuss, on the Rhine.
“The entire population turned out for the funeral of a Jew and the local priest held his Sunday morning service earlier in order to enable the Catholics and himself to be present there,” the Stuermer writes. “That is a scandal. The priest came to the house and in the name of the Christian population expressed cordial sympathy to the family of the deceased Jew. This priest must have come from a yeshiva.”
