Italians with the name Hitler were advised today to change their name to Dalla Capana (from the hut) or Casolari (humble home).
The advice was given by Senator Tolomei, who compiled a list of German names which are still being used by Italian families in Southern Tyrol. The name Hitler is used in this territory chiefly by Jewish families whose ancestors came from Austria.
