A campaign against Jewish children was started here today by the Nazi press in connection with the new school term starting after the Easter holiday.
The campaign is led by Julius Streicher, who objects to Jewish and German children still sitting on the same benches in the elementary schools. This, he says, inevitably leads to some comradeship.
“The Jews are still too much at home in the schools,” the Frankische Tageszeitung, one of the papers published by Streicher, writes. “Tolerant treatment of the Jews and a common school for Jews and Christians will not do.”
THE WAY TO PEACE
The Nazi District Commissioner, Dr. Jaeger, addressing a mass meeting in Berlin today, declared that “peace will not be reached through air pacts, or eastern pacts, but only through the annihilation of Jews.” The only thing for Germany to do, is to fight the Jews and destroy them, he urged.
The headquarters of the Maccabi organization in Germany today issued a denial of the report in the Nazi press that the Maccabi has prohibited its members from participating in the Olympiad which is to take place next year in Berlin.
