The seventieth birthday of Dr. Chaim Zhitlovsky, noted Jewish leader and writer, will be celebrated Saturday evening at the New York Coliseum, the Bronx, in the presence of thousands of his admirers.
The celebration includes a musical program, in which the Philharmonic Symphony and the Workmen’s Circle Children’s Chorus of 400 voices will be featured.
Leaders of all walks in Jewish life are represented in the committee which is arranging the celebration. Anniversary meetings in honor of Dr. Zhitlovsky are also being arranged in other American cities where there are larger Jewish communities.
