Philadelphia (May. 23)
Plans to revive the Philadelphia Jewish World, the only Yiddish daily newspaper here, which suspended publication two weeks ago, were announced here today when it became known that a committee of 100 has been formed to revive the paper.
According to the announcement, employees of the newspaper have organized a cooperative association to manage, edit and publish the paper. The association will be known as the Jewish World Employees’ Association.
An intensive campaign will be conducted in the community to arouse general interest and to secure the aid of Jewish organizations and groups who have expressed their readiness to help in reorganizing the paper. The Philadelphia Jewish World has been in existence for 21 years.
