A mass pilgrimage June 16 to the grave of Dr. Theodor Herzl, the father of political Zionism, was permitted by the Austrian authorities today.

The permit was issued on condition that no uniforms are worn by the pilgrims, also that there will be no mass formation. Such a pilgrimage was not permitted last year because of the disturbed political conditions at that time.

The office of the Jewish Unemployment Relief Bureau in Vienna issued a report today disclosing that 4,020 Jews are completely dependent on relief. Most of them are white collar workers.

Dr. Schmerler, head of the bureau, appeals in the report, to Jewish employers to provide work for their co-religionists. He emphasizes that an increase in Jewish unemployment is to be expected as the situation in the professions is growing worse from week to week.
